Get set for the biggest and most vibrant Macmillan Christmas Fair yet – Thursday 12th November

We’re not thinking about Christmas quite yet – ok, well maybe a little – but we are already terribly excited about the Macmillan Christmas Fair 2015.

The challenge for this year’s event has been set: raise the biggest single amount for Macmillan in Cornwall. The event’s organising committee have this year set a target of raising more than £50,000 for the cancer support charity at the event.

The annual fair, which is now firmly established as the county’s biggest and most vibrant Christmas fair, will take place on Thursday 12th November at the Eden Project; the preview evening will take place on Wednesday 11th November.

The fair will once again feature gifts and home accessories, clothing and jewellery and an array of the finest produce from local suppliers in the Food Hall.

As with every year, stallholders will very generously donate 15% of all their takings straight to Macmillan in Cornwall. To date the event has raised more than £469,000 in the show’s 23-year history.

All the funds raised at this year’s Macmillan Christmas Fair will be donated towards The Cove Macmillan Support Centre. The new centre, which is being built at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro, is costing £2.8 million to build and equip, and will provide support, information, complementary therapies and counselling to anyone affected by cancer in Cornwall. The new centre is scheduled to open in 2016.

For now, get the date of the Macmillan Christmas Fair 2015 firmly in your diary and watch this space for more details about ticket sales and further information about this year’s array of stallholders.
