Our lucky Grand Macmillan Fair Prize Draw winners
This year the Grand Macmillan Fair Prize Draw, kindly organised by Santander was generously donated another selection of ‘must-have’ prizes. I am really pleased to announce that the lucky winners of the 3 prizes have been notified and they are all thrilled with their prizes.
Janice Richmond of Lillicrap Chilcott (one of the lead sponsors of this annual event) had the great fortune to win a 3 night stay at the luxury waterfront hotel Hell Bay on Bryher, Isles of Scilly. The prize includes dinner in the 3 AA Rosette restaurant or Crab Shack and breakfast for the duration of the stay. Janice is “absolutely delighted to have won the prize” and is looking forward her luxury escape with her husband.
A beautifully evocative oil painting of Porthgwarra from the cliffs, by artist Ben Taffinder was won by the lucky Clare Williams of the Lanhydrock Estate. In Clare’s own words: “I love the painting and it sits beautifully in our day room. I was very chuffed to have won such a super prize for such a worthwhile cause.”
Our third prize winner is Suzie Bates who is equally thrilled with her win: “I always enjoy the Cornwall Christmas Fair – it’s the start of Christmas shopping, is such fun and all for such a great cause! It was the icing on the cake this year to win a fabulous prize in the Grand Prize Draw. I am absolutely thrilled to receive the beautiful David Linley Macassar Jewellery box…it really is stunning!” The geometric pattern on the Henley Macassar Box is characterised by dramatic Macassar ebony segmented by sycamore stringing. As well as a unique triangle escutcheon, the Henley Boxes are customisable with space for 3 inserts.
Suzie finishes with a word of thanks “to all the Committee who work so hard every year to create such a great Christmas Fair, raising such a lot for the vital work of Macmillan in Cornwall. ”
As has been said before, we couldn’t do it without you… everyone who buys a ticket, makes a donation, enters the Draw and comes to do their Christmas shopping. Thank you once again to all those who kindly donated these magnificent prizes to help us raise such significant funds for the provision of cancer care in Cornwall.
